Restaurant was great. Andrew and Angela were both so nice. They really took care of us and brought our food out quickly. They were both extremely friendly and really made our night. The dumplings, egg drop soup, chicken wraps were all so good. The kung pao chicken was great. Fresh fried noodle for the soup. Great spot to try if your craving Chinese...

Mahjong Chinese Kitchen in Plano is a standout, especially for vegetarians. Most Chinese restaurants offer limited veg options, but Mahjong has a genuinely thoughtful selection. We started with the scallion pancakes, which were perfectly crispy, and both the steamed and pan‑fried vegetable dumplings. The dumplings were exceptional—easily some of the best we’ve had, with a uniquely flavorful filling. For mains, we ordered the vegetable lo mein, Szechuan kung pao tofu, Chinese baby eggplant, and vegetable fried rice. Every dish was balanced, fresh, and full of flavor without being overly oily or salty. Overall, a great spot and highly recommended for vegetarians looking for quality Chinese food.

🛑☑️⬇️ Review 1⭐️👎❗️ This is Not your traditional Chinese food restaurant & honestly I did Not enjoy my experience here, The energy did Not start off right…. We decided to come here last minute for my early Mother’s day dinner. It was not even 5 mins being seated & a male employee came out saying I can not bring bottled water in the restaurant (this is the first time I have ever been addressed on this from any restaurant) I only brought in a bottled water to take my medication (not sure which restaurants filter their water or use sink water) so to be safe I bring in my purified water, I don’t do this to offend the restaurant, it is only for medical purposes. I can not have soda nor do I drink liquor/wine so I ended up not having a drink with my meal at all here. Traditional Chinese food is big portions & I saw a picture of a review that drew us in, but when we ordered the same dish the portion was astonishingly small, like lunch size menu small! We ordered traditional fried rice with chicken, shrimp with lobster sauce & sesame chicken. What is going to make my review more critical is that I have had really great traditional Chinese food before so trust me, I know the difference!

We went there for lunch and had the Kung-Pao Chicken, the Stir Fried Chicken and the Black Pepper Beef. Everything was above average, but very fresh. We liked the decorations in particular.

Went for the first time the other night for dinner and the food was delicious! We had the wonton soup, soup dumplings, fried shrimp appetizer, chicken lo mein, and orange chicken! The staff were amazing and welcoming. They paid extra attention and helped us with our son by offering kid friendly choices and bringing friendly silverware and extra napkins without us asking. Would highly recommend this restaurant!
